Your parents in Israel, one touch away.

EiLana turns an iPad or Android tablet into a simple family screen for grandparents. The screen shows only the family members who are available right now. One touch on a photo, and the video call starts. No menus, no typing, no phone numbers.

  • Hebrew screen and voice assistant for them
  • You manage everything from your phone, anywhere
  • Unlimited family members

How it works

Three steps, and you are in their living room

Setup takes a few minutes, once. After that, they only touch a photo.

  1. Install EiLana on your phone

Create a family circle and invite the children and grandchildren with a simple code.

  2. Pair the grandparents' tablet

Install the same app on their tablet and scan a QR code from your phone. An older tablet works if it runs iPadOS 16.4+ or Android 7+.

  3. Turn on "available" and talk

Your photo lights up on their screen. They touch it, and you are on a video call, wherever you are.

The grandparents' screen

Simple for them.
Peace of mind for you.

  • One touch to a callOnly the people who are available appear. They touch a photo, and the call starts.
  • A ring they always hearIncoming calls ring at the volume you set, even if the tablet was turned all the way down. Optional auto-answer opens the call by itself.
  • A live photo frameWhen nobody is calling, the photos you send from your phone appear full screen.
  • Family callsAdd more relatives to the same call, so everyone sees everyone.
  • Manage it from abroadSee that their tablet is online, its Wi-Fi and battery, and change the ring, auto-answer and photo frame remotely.

Hebrew voice assistant

They say "Shalom Ilana",
and she is already listening

Sometimes even a touch is too much: wet hands at the sink, glasses in the other room. So they just talk to her, in Hebrew.

  • "Shalom Ilana, call Dana"and the call goes out. They can also ask who is available, answer a call, change the volume, ask the time or see photos.
  • Calling out "help" (הצילו)Even without the wake phrase, EiLana says out loud that she is calling the family, gives 3 seconds to cancel, and alerts everyone at once. When one of you calls, the call opens on the tablet by itself.
  • The voice stays at homeRecognition and transcription run on the tablet itself. The voice never leaves the device and is never stored.

Safety and privacy

Built the way we would want it for our own grandparents

  • SOS for the whole family

A long press on the red button, or calling out "help", sends an urgent alert to every family member.

  • Private calls

Calls are encrypted in transit and never recorded.

  • Data in Israel

Photos are stored on servers in Israel, and only your family circle can see them.

  • A closed circle

Only invited family members can appear on their screen. No strangers, no ads.

The SOS alerts the family only and is not an emergency service. In an emergency in Israel, call 101.

Is the app in English?

The grandparents' screen and the voice assistant are in Hebrew, because EiLana was built for Israeli families. This page and the store listing explain it in English for family members abroad.

Can I call my parents in Israel from abroad?

Yes. EiLana works over the internet, so it does not matter where you are. From your phone you can also see that their tablet is online and charged.

Which tablet do they need?

An iPad running iPadOS 16.4 or later (usually an iPad from 2017 on) or an Android tablet with Android 7 or later. An older tablet from the drawer works too, as long as it runs these versions. Keep it plugged in and in a fixed place at home.

How much does it cost?

One subscription covers the whole family and one tablet, with unlimited family members and calls: ₪29.90 a month or ₪299 a year, with a 30-day free trial and no credit card. The grandparents never pay.

Is the SOS an emergency service?

No. The SOS alerts the family only. In an emergency in Israel, call 101.
